I  have a very good news that will  break my long silence. On Jan 21st 2013, we were blessed with a  baby girl. The baby and the mother are doing good now. She is our first baby and ever since her birth, every thing else took the backseat. Pics of her will follow. Some of you might have thought that I am not spending that much time on the blog like I used to.  There were so many things going on in 2012 and was very very hectic. However,  2013 started in a joyful way.

Also, On Jan 8th, This blog completed 5 years. Now this sounds so less significant after the first news.

While the baby kept  me busy, I did find some time to grow spinach, Chinese cabbage and lettuce hydroponically in a all new hydroponic kit.  More details of the kits, growing methodology in the coming posts.

Thats all for now.

  4. Hello,

firstly, congratulations on the new addition to your family 🙂
I happened to stumble across your blog yesterday and was so happy to find it. I have a balcony garden and there are so many valuable tips that I got by reading your posts. Thanks to your blog, I have now made up my mind to use coco peat in my potting mix…I was not very sure about it earlier. Thank you so much for putting up such informative posts.

I guess you have your own store..Garden Guru? I saw the product list, is it still the same or has it been updated? Would it be possible for you to share the price list with me? My email id is sowmyanavada@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to your next post 🙂

  5. COngratulations GG… To you and your family…
I am the first time commenter on your blog. I know this is not the write post on which i should check with you about my plants.. but anyways.. i have problem with tulsi plant at home. Earlier i had tulsi plant in a pot.. n it died.. first its leaves weathered n slowly it died. In the same pot n d same clay i potted another healthy tulsi plant. Immediately after planting it also started dyeing. So i changed d pot n potting mix. Tried to remove clay from the roots as much as possible. then it was revived but after few days I checked its leaves n noticed white flakes on the backside of it. They are light weight n if i shake plant they can fall off. I put some turmeric on leaves n it was slightly better. But those flakes havent disappeared n now leaves have started weathering. n d plant is dyeing. Can you please suggest some remedies.

    thanks..

  8. Hi Many congratulations! 🙂

I read your green house making post but couldnt add a comment there. Wanted to post this 🙂

    Hi,

Amazing efforts! kudos gg 🙂 I am facing a similar issue like Sam here. Terrace is the only place where i can have some potted plants. But the heat is way too much. I cant afford to have a proper green house. Is there any other cost-efficient way to protect the plants.

    Please do reply!!

    Thanks,
    Monisha
