Penjing is "tray scenery" or " tray landscape"

Bonsai  is "miniature trees in a pot"

You could google to understand it better.

Bonsai is a Japanese word, but the art of growing these trees originates in China, where it is called "Penjing". Penjing are often landscapes (where "Bonsai" are often individual trees). In this article we have listed the ten most beautiful Chinese Penjing landscapes.
