Dear Sushant,

Patience in abundance is a prior requirement for bonsais. Try getting hold of Jyoti&Nikunj Parekh's book.. Wonderworld of Tropical Bonsai. It should be about 225-250 Rs and is published by Vakils, Feffer and Simons Ltd, Mumbai. For starters, get hold of shallow porcelain planters in various sizes and shapes.. you can try with baby banyan trees usually growing in creeks on walls on the roadside!

I have a four year old beauty which is sheer poetry to look at.

Have fun.. Bonsai-ing!

Lakshmi

Almost i say Bonsai is a dwarf tree. Growth of bonsai looks very cute and admirable. As "lakshmi" says "Patience in abundance is a prior requirement for bonsais". I agree, that you should endure waiting on bosai especially. The most important part of taking care of your bonsai trees is watering. You should concentrate more on watering and some other important factors of the bonsai because it depends only on how often a tree needs to be water, the species of tree, size of tree and pot, soil mixture and climate and ofcourse the duration years. So it concede with proper care of bonsaiĀ
