May not fit exactly here but this seemed to the closest topic for postic this.

Mani - I went thru your greenhouse post and I am particularly interested in the water collection system. Do you have it up and running? Can you share details of the same?

One major constraint today for me is the water consumption. I do not feel comfortable in using too much of BWSSB supply for the garden and I would really like to setup such a system.

Rgds,

Jaga

Hello Jaga,

Welcome to the forum.

Yes I do have it up and running. It uses a small submersible motor (available in SJP road) that pumps water via drip tubes(12mm) and has sphagetti tubes branching off the drip tube and then reaches the plant. The grow bags are lined with black polythene that collects the drain water and bring is back to the reservoir.

If we need a post specifically for setting up drip and collect system, i will be more than happy to write one.

Let me know

GG

My question was specifically on the drain water. How do you take care of that in case of your containers? Can you write in detail with photographs? Alternately I can make a visit if that is okay with you...
