Dear all,
Recently I was reading about Hydrophonics. I would liek to know what are the essintials for hydrophonics? What type of vegetables can be grown this way? Where is the nutrients available for this? On an experimental basis I would like to start any one vegetable. Please suggest me a good vegetable which can be grown using hydrophonics technology easily.

Hi Suresh,
Using hydroponics, almost all the vegetables can be grown. There are several formulae available for making your own nutrients. If you need nutrients drop me an email @ admin@geekgardener.in
You can start tomatoes, spinach, pepper, chilli. They all do well in hydroponics.

Hi Suresh,
It's a great thought and you have chosen just the right way of doing it. I too started like you about 6 weeks back and feel addicted now.
Started with various varieties of tomatoes and have added strawberries recently as I had already started the tomato seedlings and after landing on GG's post "Growing Tomatoes in Growbags – Hydroponic way " I knew the technique was worth giving a try , so I started and here I am today.

GG has definitely made it very simple and believe me the results uptil now are awesome (the plants are growing like crazy).
Hope this would help and motivate you. All the best to you.
Happy Growing!
