Hello, this post may seem very rudimentary to experienced gardeners. However I would like to know if by using coco peat only to grow plants, will the plants grow well just like it would if planted on soil. Any help or suggestions will greatly help me

No cocopeat is not substitute of soil. You can consider this as alternate to sand which is primarily used to aid in drainage. Drainage is very critical in pots because of a closed environment. Trust this helps.
