I am Pratap from chennai. Eventhough i am living in chennai as a software engineer, basically i am from a village. I would like to build a terrace garden in my house. Having small bit land also where i am trying Banana & Rose. More interested on organic methods and also Drip methods.
I liked Pratap's opening statement. I would like to read it as - "I am a farmer and a son-of-the-soil / close to vegetation/nature and some in this crowded concrete jungle as a s/w engineer." If that is not the case, this is true in my case. Welcome and as camaroon said keep writing people. Lets encourage each other. camaroon did you get the solenoid/timer setup done? With my last vacation minor-disaster need to do something at my place as well.
You are abosolutely correct! I am poor in english, that is the reason i am writing shortly.
Basically I am a farmer. I used to work in cultivation in my school days with my grandpa. I was seperated from nature due to my education. It was very unfortunate that i haven't learnt cultivation from my grandpa. Today, I am a software engineer in chennai. But i always feel like "lost some thing".
Going back to nature...
I am planning to write about my little garden and my gardening experience in this thread.
I request all the gardeners to read and give your suggestion/guidelines to me.
I meant Plantain( Banana). I have two Monthan Banana with 1 mtr distanefor past 2 Years. Nearly 3 times i got flowering and banana with same Kilanku. Now all new trees are affected by Ilai Karukal. All leaves are getting dark and then falling. Please suggest me some natural method. I am already giving Panchagavya every month.
Thanks in Advance,
