Hi All,

I am interested in taking farming as occupation but have no practical experience in any kind of farming other than home garden.
Could you please advice on any reputed training institute providing short term course in Horticulture with special attention to Hydroponics?

Thanks,
Arpit Badjatya

Hi All,

I tried finding about Hydroponic training but could not get any authentic institute offering training on it. Finally I am planning to attend Green House management training conducted by Horticulture Training Center, Talegaon (near Pune).
I am completely new to farming request everyone to share the feedback if anyone has attended that training.

Thanks,
Arpit

Hi Aprit,

What is the purpose of your farming? Is it for commercial purposes? If so, have a budget in mind and get in touch with some Drip irrigation companies such as Netafim. They can suggest how you need to proceed for your budget. They do provide agronomic services for free to their customers.

Thanks Srikanth,

Being a newbie I am planning to have a initial understanding of the entire cropping process. So planning to go for half to 1 acre poly/green house and depending on the progress and learning will progress to commercial scale 2-3 yrs down the line.

Regards,
Arpit
