hi I am Abhijit from Pune.I have recently started terrace gardning and want to know some details.

I have sown chilly seeds(pusa jwala) 3 days back which I put in a plastic rectangular container with  red soil.


1 How much time it takes for true leaves to appear?

2 Can I go for the direct method or Transplant is the only way out

3 What can be mixed in soil for proper yeild ?

4 what amt of sunlight is required?

Pls help.

Hi Abhijit,

Cotyledon takes 4-5 days and true leaves takes 10-14 days depending on nutrient levels
you can absolutely go for direct sowing. transplanting is not required.
you have add fertilizer(either compost or synthetic).
minimum 5 hours of sunlight.
