This is Subrata from Gurgaon. At the outset thanks to GG for his wonderful blog and this wonderful forum. I read his article in The Hindu and then it encouraged me to start gardening in my balcony.
I have now planted few cucumber plants (6 of them, 3 weeks old), 4 mint plants (grew them by using GG's article on growing mint from cuttings bought thick mint bunch from the market), 5 tomato plants from seeds. 1 bottle gourd and 2 bitter gourd plants have just sprouted.
Though I had to order cocopeat from a company in Pelamedu, Tamil Nadu by Speed Post, I found a shop in Gurgaon who supplies everything from a seeding tray to coco peat, black plastic bags for growing plants, compost etc etc. I also found a shop in Krishi Bhawan New Delhi where they sell seeds at dirt cheap prices. It is a govt outlet.
Looking forward to learning from others and sharing my experiences.
