Hi All….I am Pampati from Hyderabad and joined this forum today. I started terrace gardening 3 to 4 months back.  So far was successful in growing tomatoes, Okra, Spinach, mint.  Partly successful in Methi , not successful in  Melon. Still my cabbage is growing not sure how many days it takes further.

 

Am Looking forward for more information and tips from this group.

Hi,

 

I am also from hyderabad. Even I had Okra plants, but it was attacked with black aphids. Did you had the same experience, if so can u plz tell me what measurements u took to prevent it.

And how much yield are you getting from one plant.

Regular spray with neem oil should get it in control. The key to controlling aphids is the stop them when the migrate from plant to plant. Ants usually bring them to plants. Stop ants first. and watch for flying insects. Winged aphids usually come first and then the rest of them. Use a sticky trap control flying insects.
