Welcome aboard Khaleel ji...:) you have a wonderful garden.....But I have a small doubt..Srkanth garu/Raju garu...u can answer this ...Khaleel ji has used the black covers provided along with the plants at the nursery.....So will it not be a problem even if we dont transfer the plants to containers?

You can keep it in the plastic cover but the plant will not grow much as it will need space to grow the roots and you would also take care of periodic aeration. That will be difficult in the constricted space of the bag.

Hi Khaleel,

Good to see your posting. As srikanth said it would be better to add titles for your pictures. Since you have mentioned that you like roses i am attaching links of my Rose garden pictures taken few years back. I have taken some to terrace and remaining gifted away due to space constraint. During seasons I used to get around 50 miniature roses and 30 Hybrid Teas. My east side is blocked by a big apartment and on west side a new one coming. Rose growing on front yard is history now due to lack of sunlight. Now after seeing GG's Vegetable garden , I got attracted to growing Vegetables and now this season I already harvested around 200 tomatoes. Thanks to GG for inspiring me. But my interest and love for growing roses will never diminish. Will post more pictures when my plants after shifting restores its energy and settles down.

Hi Raman,

Your roses are very beautiful.

One who grows roses can never stop.

I shifted my focus to kitchen gardening after having grown roses successfully on my terrace.

After seeing your pictures I want to plant more roses, especially the 'black rose' ; will have to find space somehow and scout for it ...

Hi all,

Thanks for all appreciation. Once I happen to meet Dr.Vasundara of GKVK,Bangalore(Research Lab chief) during our visit to GKVK a training trip arranged by Lalbagh training centre few years back. She said that our needs in life will be minimal if we stay close to nature. That's what happening to me. Hope the same with us all.

Now all these rose plants stopped blooming for couple of years for reason unknown to me inspite of sprucing the ground with manure. But after I shifted all the plants to terrace it started to come back with vigour. I have to add lots of vermicompost in each pot to attain the optimum energy for roots to take and better sunlight. My point is even if it is ground, sunlight is very essential for Rose Plants to grow healthy(Min 5 to 6 hrs of direct sunlight).

I will post more pictures. Now after seeing GG Veg garden I am also into veg. growing for a change. Thanks to him.

Bye now

Welcome khaleel,

Your garden is nice and colorful. Very neat too. I am very happy that we have lots of Rose growers in our forum.

Raman,

200 tomatoes? Awesome... I wish I was staying near your house.

Pictures from ur garden are really very nice. You seem to be quiet passionate about your photography as well.

I am a newbie to gardening , hope to learn from the experiences of the members on this forum.

Thanks GG for creating this wonderful forum.
