Hi greenbay:

If I am right you are talking about the 'Kachnar' tree? If so have you made enquiries whether this plant can be grown from stem cuttings ? As far as I know this tree is grown from seeds. It might be worth it to give a try to the 'poor old seeds' ! Please do tell us about the result too. Regards.

Satish

hi greenbay and satish

thanks to both of you. yesterday i get some dried pods from a garden near me. i dont know the name of the tree, and tree doesnt hold any leaves. there was just newly tiny leaves . i collect all pods for seed. it was very hard to break. now after reading this topic, when i search for kachnar for knowledge , i get this http://image30.webshots.com/46.....SEs_ph.jpg

this is same as i got from the garden, and happy to know i have kachnar seeds. i collect this seed for bonsai purpose.

seeds are here http://www.imagehousing.com/image/687015
