Hi!

I recently purchased seed packets of Verbena, Impatiens and Coleus of a foreign brand called Royal Fleur from Ratanshi, Byculla, Mumbai.

 

For each variety I seeded them in this fashion

1. 6 cups of moist potting mix, followed by sprinkling the seeds and covering with a thin dusting of soil. I mist water over these open cups daily. I have raised many seedlings of Chrysanthemum, Zinnia, Clitoria, Dahlia, Phlox and Chillies with this method.

2. 6 cups of moist potting mix followed by sprinkling the seeds, no soil on top and covering with plastic bag and rubber band. This I am trying for the first time.

 

I have not seen any germination in any cups yet.

 

What could i be doing wrong?

 

Any help would be welcome :-)
