I had a tough time growing pansy . Out of 10 seedlings I purchased only a few could grow to their maturity. They should grow well in Bangalore . But petunias should flourish really well in Bangalore weather

Lovely pictures.....trying to grow the same shade of petunia by seed (I think it's called frost blue) but no success ......will have to try sowing again.....they are such tiny seeds, even if one or two germinate, they r dying within 2-3 days......

You should Check with nearby nursery for saplings. Growing them from the seed will be very difficult. They want cool temp maybe if you put them in partial shade . 4 hrs of sunlite will be more than enough in chennai . And do not overwater there stems start to rot if not otherwise.

@usha, yours seems to be Ruellia, general name Desert Petunia.

I have the baby pink color and it is very easy to grow.
