Hello,

I have 2-3 week old seedlings of Spinach, Methi and Coriander.

I am facing issue with watering them. When pour/sprinkle water on them they will bend and fall to ground, some times get damaged. In fact i try watering as gently as possible.

Please guide me on this.

Thanks,

Sharan

You can do bottom watering..Place the seedling tray or the pot in a container containing water and let them soak the water for 5-10 minutes and remove it..This ensures the seedlings get just the right amount of water neither excess nor less..Good luck..

Other option is to make a slight slope with the soil on one side where the plants are not there and pour water slowly on the slope..Trust this helps..

I use sprinkler - water sprayer to water these kinds of tender plants. This is very helpful. Please try.

Seedlings which are in translation tray, i could water them from bottom, it very safe.

And  seedlings which not for transplantation and are in big bags, i am planning use water sprinkler, mostly home made ..let me try.
