I have a question regarding potting.
I add vermicompost manure for every 15 days. So before I add, first I remove the top soil around the stem, then add some quantity, then cover again with the red soil. Is it correct way of doing this?
1) If so, how much quantity should I add for a regular 10 lit pot.
2) And everytime I add the manure, some excess soil gets remained, so can I add the same to the new pots, or should I throw it out?
3) for some trees like coriander, mint, brahmi, i cant remove the top soil, then what would be the solution for this?

Ideally for short term crops (vegetables and leafy greens) I would suggest you add 1/3 vol of compost. For a 10 L pot it would be about 3 to 3.5 L. This should last the duration of the crop.
You can use the excess soil in new pots.
In case you cannot remove top soil then you can dig small holes and drop the compost. Only could also dissolve the compost in water (good vermicompost should completely dissolve in water) and water the plants.
Thanks,
