Hi premlatha18,
Can you give me the Panchagavya dealer details in Chennai. I need that for my flowering plants.
Cheers

Hi
I just got Panchagavya from the KVK - Kissan Vigyan Kendra centre near Kattankulatthur ( Just after SRM college over the GST main road) 2 days back.
Since this is a government organisation , they do not work on weekends and work till 4:00 PM only on week days .
It is available for Rs 50 a litre which is quite cheap, and you will have to take a container / plastic bottle to get it.
Cheers
Sethu

Sorry for the delay . Cosmos has answered the question . I did get it from manidharmabiotech dot com . Its near porur on the kundrathur road . It costed me Rs 100 for a litre . it was so fresh and neatly packed . In two days after i sprayed it , the adeniums which i bought recently , on the verge of dying survived . and i now understand the efficiency of this magic potion .
They do have a lot of other fertilizer and organic manures as well. i have a complete brochure of it , but i dont know how to upload it here . maybe u can request it from the website .
Sethu sir ,
can u let us know more about KVK and what other products do they offer ?
cosmos ,
i stay at madipakkam , what abt u ?

hi premalatha,
200 seems to be on the higher side. At the moment, I am selling at 120 for a carry packed version and 100 for a bundle of 4 washed bales. The shipping cost will be about 150-200 for upto 10 bales( i can confirm this later). let me know if you are interested. Shipping is done via VRL transport. I am not a fan of loose cocopeat. You pay for water in it and we are not sure about the quality of cocopeat. ask for EC value.

Thanks GG for the information . Rs 100 for 4 washed bale means does that mean four of the 5 KG blocks ?
And can u please educate me about wats the difference between washed and unwashed . Even i dont want to get loose coco peat , but only thats easily available here in chennai .
Roughly how much coco peat can i get from a 5 KG block or bale , after adding water .
Shipping seems modest , however i have someone who frequents chennai and bangalore often . so i can ask them to get it from u and can save on the shipping cost i guess ..
PS : Am actually getting quicker on addition here with the number of post i make ...GG is indirectly helping us learn faster arithmetic calculations ....Kidding ....

Hi Premalatha
KVK is a government organisation( Kissan Vigyan Kendra) and they sell , vermiwash , vermi compost , Panchagavya and seedlings. I bought a tray full of tomoato seedlings there last week ( 100 seedlings in a tray ) at very cheap rate and they sell Brinjal , Okhra , Chilli plant seedlings all grown in trays. Individual seedlings are also available , but not of vegetable plants , but of ornamental and flowering plants.
I believe they sell these to the near by farmers as i saw some farmers around Kanchipuram , chengalpet getting seeds in bulk from there.
I bought Panchagavya from there , but i am not confident of the quality as it was stored in a big plastic drum and not sure when this was prepared.
I have sprayed it on the plants but not able to see any visible changes for the pat one week

Premalatha,
Washed is less in salt content (EC < 0.5) and unwashed.. is simply unwashed and has salt (high sodium, potassium etc)content higher that 2.0 (sometimes more than 6 mS/cm. Yes a bundle contains 4 blocks of 5kg each.If you add 35-40 lits of water, each bale( 5kg block) will expand to 75 litres of media which can fill upto 8 pots(the dustbin container I mentioned in some of my posts).
hope your questions were answered
