Hello GG,
Thank you very much for this wonderful site. I too use to wonder why we do not have much books or website about Indian gardening or farming. Irony, the history of agriculture in India dates back to the Rigveda. 🙂
I am from Pune and new gardener. I am working on Tulsi plant for a while. I had the experience that after about 2 yr tulsi plant dies. I was wondering if that happens with my plant or with every tulsi plant. If not can you help me understand what might have been going wrong. Also, what's the proper ways of handling the tulsi plant.
Thanks 🙂

Sorry Atima for the delay.
Tulsi plant is an annual. But in our weather, it can last few years if taken care of. By taken care of, i mean feeding the plant with good fertilizer when it is in the growing stage. The secret to keep Tulsi ( Holy Basil) plant growing is to pinch of the flowering buds. More you pinch, more bushy they get.
Hope this helps
