Hi,

I have a lotus plant, grown from seed. About 2 months old and has put out 5 or 6 floating leaves. I noticed that the leaves are getting damaged, and the newer leaves are yellow. I couldnt find any exact solution online, but the general idea appears to be that it is a nutrient deficiency. Could you suggest where we can get root tabs in India (in Chennai, or online), for fertilizing the plant?

I have the plan in a large plastic pot, filled 2/3rds with red soil, and rest with water. The pot is in my roof, getting full sun.

Thanks,
Johnny.

All you need is some water soluble fertilizer. You can buy boon harvest from our site http://gardenguru.in/ for this purpose. Just add a teaspoon to the container every 15 days.
There should be no fish. It will die if you add fertilizers to it
