Bhavani madam, beautiful garden.
I have a question on hibiscus - pest management. Oflate, I have been having a lot of mealy bugs on the hibiscus plant. I have been hand picking the eggs and insects and then spraying the whole plant with neem/soap/water solution. But these pests are very resilient, coming back everytime.
Any tips on how to completely eradicate it from my garden.
Thanks
Lokesh

Hello Lokky,
Use dichlorvos 76% EC to get rid of mealy bugs.
I have treated my hibiscus /mums with this and it is very effective.
The commercial name is "Nuvan".
On a related note i am listing down a set of common hibiscus pests/insects along with the insecticide/pesticide
1.Aphids- Neem oil/soapy water.
2.Thrips-Confidor.
3.Hibiscus Beetle-Confidor.
4.Spider mites- Neem oil/Soapy water applied on the underside of leaves.
By the way.. i am guy and not MADAM
