Hay Ganapathy,
It is just awesome. You must start exploring yummy recipes for the crop.
Can you please share the pot size which you used to plant this variety. I have also bought the seeds of eggplant (the dark purple one) recently and waiting for the germination. Your experience will help me do it in a right way.
I have pots available from 8" to 12" but don't know how deep it requires.
Regards..

@viny, First I used a tea cup to sow the seed in coco peat and then I have transplanted into 10 inch cement pot. I suggest you to use 12''. bigger the better. Make sure to plant only 1 per pot.
Have transplanted green long eggplant in a grow bag, yet to see how it grows.
You can also grow them in 20lts plastic bucket.

Excellent Show, Ganapathy.
Even I have planted few Brinjals and they have just started. I should be careful about the pests. As someone said, I should plant garlic around the plants.
I had some good Okra plants and they gave me good yield. But with the recent rains in Chennai, I have lost couple of them and only one is standing still. I am planning to remove them and plant new seeds.
I wanted to know if it will be an advantage if I plant a different plant (like Okra or any other beans) in the pot where I had Okra? or I should only plant okra seeds in them?
Please advice.
~Jay
