Hi guys, I am growing veggies in my roof top garden.
I have drip irrigation for watering the plants. But it gets clogged with algae frequently. I end up removing and putting back the pipes to clear up the algae. Anybody who has done this know its no simple task.
Any solutions to stop build up and get rid of algae?
I've heard mixing chlorine with water stops algae growth. But I wanted info from some experienced gardeners.

I am assuming the algae is building up in your water tank. I suggest the following.
1. Ensure no light enter the water tank. No sunlight = No algae.
2. If 1. is not possible then cover your submersible pump or water inlet hose with a fine cloth. Then you will only have remove the cloth and wash or replace it.
Thanks,
