Hi

This is greenenthu from Gurgaon. I had been logging on to this blog regularly, before GG decided to move. Since I am new to the forum, it was a pleasant surprise to see so many fellow gardeners from delhi and gurgaon. I am interested in growing vegetables organically. Tried growing cherry tomato, spinach, methi, brinjal and herbs. My tomato plants have started flowering. I had ok yield of brinjals, palak and methi etc.. Squirrels did eat up my capsicum and green chilly plants. Any body has any solutions for them?

Waiting for summers to start so that I can try summer vegetables.

Happy gardening to all

Hi Greenenthu,

Interesting to know that squirels like to eat capsicum and green chillies. I have green chilly plants growing and never had that problem.

But they did attack the mosquito nets on the windows thinking it's a durable nesting materialLaugh.  Something that worked for me was I hang up discarded CDs around that area and they get distracted by seeing their own image and run away. It has been 6 months now and still no sign of attack.

Good luck!

Anandhi

hi Annandhi

Thanks for your suggestion. It seems very practical and logical. I'll try it and will let you know the outcome.
