In mostly all my Brinjal Plants, the backside leaves have developed some white substance and sometimes it spreads to the stem also.  I do not find this in all the leaves but in some.  As suggested by one of my garden friend, I brush the white patches out.  However, the leaves get these white patches which to me appears to be some infection and not healthy.  I have Tomato plants, Cucumber, Bitter Gorurd Plants and I do not find this infection in these plants.  Any solution to this problem.

Please try applying/spraying  Baking soda solution to the plants and also remove the leaves from 5'inches from the bottom. It could be due to retained moisture because of recent rain.Only water the plants when the surface soil is dry.

Please try this and let us know if it helps.

Thank you for the guidance.  You mean I should add Baking Soda solution to the soil.  Is it ?
