Hi all,

We shifted home recently.... and it was not easy to shift a full grown vine from our old house to our new home. A vine which was just about to fruit. I must say it was a project to shift and settle the bottle gourd vine (sahi salamat) in the new balcony and the vine in turn gave a lot.

All the fruits in the album are hand pollinated and completely organic.

It was my first attempt to grow veggies in containers in my balcony and look how it went on.LINK

My special thanks to GG and his website.

Regards..Viny

Thanks Raghu,

The pot is a 12" one and the plant is around 3+ months. It produced the first fruit in the age of around 50 days from the seedling stage. It is bottle gourd though I don't know the exact variety.

Bitter gourd is also of the same age. It sprouted in the compost bin only and later got transplanted in to a 10" pot.

Regards; Viny

Wow viny,

Just saw your album. Your pictures are great. Your produce is also looking very good.

I guess your compost is doing very good.

I am still waiting for the end result of my only can of compost, made on your tips.
