Yesterday! geekgardener.in crossed half million visits since its inception. I am very happy to share this news with you gardeners!
Thanks to all of you who made this happen.

Back when I started this site, I never thought we would grow to where we are right now. The initial traffic was 13 visitors per month. It has been an amazing journey so far. It gives me immense pleasure when so many people write to me saying how they got inspired from this site and started gardening and this keeps me motivated.

last but not the least, watch out for new announcements in the next couple of weeks. I have a surprise waiting in store. 😉

  1. Hey GG many congrats!

You and your blog have been very instrumental in getting me to start my own little explorations in container gardening! 🙂

  2. Hey, that is totally awesome. Congratulations GG! I’m so happy for you. It is also encouraging to see so many getting enthusiastic about gardening and growing. There is some hope for our cities.

You are one of the biggest inspirations – there is just so much I have picked up from this site and your knowledge base. I don’t hesitate to recommend your blog to anyone who talks a bit of ‘gardenese’ around here.
    Thanks again!

  3. Congratulations, gg. from one gardener inspired by you. Your blog has helped me enormously, and so have your workshops and other sessions such as Kitchen Gardeners’ Day. More power to you!

  4. Congrats GG! !!!! Your work is truly inspiring and i,m one among the lot who took up gardening more seriously. You are my mentor. The best part is you explain every step in detail and take great care in writing your articles. You help your readers to a great extent and clarify our doubts, unlike other bloggers. That,s awesome! keep up the good work and more success to come.

  6. Dear GG,

Hearty congratulations. Thank you so much for inspiring so many amateur gardeners and guiding them to take the hobby seriously. You have converted me ‘the flowers for puja enough’ type gardener in to a person who is willing to experiment with growing different types of plants. Your articles are lucid and easily understandable and very very easy to follow too. Please keep up the good work. God bless

  7. Congratulation GG! Your blog is really really inspiring and you provide great information and techniques with lovely photographs. I am your fan and hope to grow veggies the way you do!

  8. Dear GG, Congrats. I am a recent follower of your blog and have already read all the articles on your blog (top to bottom :)) twice. They are just so inspiring. I have just given up my corporate job of 14 years in the IT field and am taking a break at the moment. I have been thinking of getting into vegetable gardening for the past 2-3 years but somehow never got the time. Last year however I did manage to grow some methi (fenugreek). I have no experience what so ever in this field but am very interested to learn. I just mixed some vermicompost with some mud and put the fenugreek seeds in it. And guess what…they germinated and gave me a good yield :). Since then this has been on my mind and I really want to grow my own vegetables so that at least I can do my little bit for the carbon footprint. I think I would be your first online customer the moment the online shopping this gets activated since I am unable to find most of the things (cocopeat and all) here in NOIDA. In the meanwhile, I have planted a couple of pots of Palak and tomatoes last week (as the monsoons hit Delhi last week only). They have germinated, but the sparrows seem to like the palak a lot 🙂 so I am keeping a strict eye on the pots.

Please start the online thing fast so that recent converts like me don’t loose their new found passion. Thanks so much for the inspiration. 🙂
