I am sure most of you hear about bringing your harvest/yield from the garden to your kitchen. Well, this post is about the taking your kitchen stuff to the garden. Or.. or .. This post is for all the lazy folks who didn’t start gardening because they didn’t know where to buy good seeds
If you want to start a garden, and have difficulty finding seeds. Don’t sweat. Just head to your kitchen. You will only see seeds.. Once you start gardening, they way you see things changes. Everytime I head to the grocery store, I see seeds..only seeds. Go to the pulses section. Black bean, Double bean, green grams, peas.. All these are viable seeds. Your kitchen is no less.
Here are the list of seeds you can sow straight from the kitchen. The list is not by any means exhaustive or complete. There probably will be no end to this list. Take this as a starting point to get your garden started. Have fun.
- Fenugreek – Methi
- Chilly (Seeds from dry pods)
- Bell Pepper ( from Ripe peppers)
- Black Bean

How to Sow Seeds Part 1 and Part 2
An informative post as usual, after a very long time.
But GG, mint?!!
Can it be grown from seed and what are the seeds?
Would love to try if possible
Mint is actually from cuttings. I added those since they are part of the kitchen and can be used for planting. You are right. we don’t have the seeds in the kitchen… 🙂
What a great list, some of these would be very nice to have, thank you for sharing!
